Engineering Reviews
Submit your Engineering Drawings for Review
Available through the ABS MyFreedom™ Portal under the Plan Review section, Engineering Manager is used by ABS clients to manage the administration of their drawings throughout plan review. This secure program tracks the progress of engineering reviews, consolidates comments, generates reports and provides optional email alerts for all types of projects.
One of the most critical steps in the process of classification of a vessel or offshore unit or certification of equipment is the technical review. This involves the review of drawings and documents to ABS Rules, Guides and other standards by qualified ABS engineers. The most efficient method this is accomplished is by electronic submission of those drawings and documents to an ABS Engineering office. Please see the map below with additional contact information for your nearest office.
An ABS project number is required to upload a submission for review or information. To have a project number created please contact the nearest ABS office. You will need to provide a detailed description of the review to be carried out, billing responsibility details, and your company’s WCN, if known (located in the My Profile area of the ABS MyFreedom Portal).
