China - New Air Emissions Requirements
The China Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) has recently issued new air emissions requirements, impacting certain-sized vessels entering and operating in China waters.
- China’s new Implementation Plan for Marine Air Pollutant Emission Control Areas expands the previous emission control areas to cover a broader coastal zone and inland waterways.
- China’s recent Regulation on Data Collection of Energy Consumption for Ships creates a new fuel consumption reporting requirement for certain vessels travelling to China ports.
